NBA 2K8 marks the second iteration of the franchise on the next generation consoles. Unlike last season, the cover athlete on this year’s video game is New Orleans Hornets Chris Paul. Visual Concepts and 2K games does a brilliant job at making realistic basketball games. The artificial intelligence is as superb this year as it was in NBA 2K7. Since NBA 2K8 is a basketball simulation, you have to adhere to the rules of the NBA. Players will act exactly like their real life counterparts. From Shaq missing free throws to Dwayne Wade attacking the rim, it is all in NBA 2K8. Novice basketball fans will more likely than not be floundering with this game; however, NBA 2K8 will be made for devoted basketball fans. The artificial intelligence is no push over. Do not expect that anyone can drive towards the hole and get to the free throw line.
Playing erratically will cause you to turn the ball over. Defenses will alter their style to accommodate their opponents. For instance, defenses will double team Shaq leaving Dwayne Wade open for a wide open jumpshot. Realism will no doubt be the name of the game in NBA 2K8. Players like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James will make spectacular plays. Conversely, Tim Duncan will be immensely boring as hell to watch. A new slam dunk contest will definitely be a welcome addition. NBA 2K8 is scheduled to be available for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The 2K series has always been a dribble ahead of the NBA Live series, and they look to continue that trend this year. NBA 2K8 is slated for an October 2, 2007 release date.

They shared the same record with their Finals opponent, the Philadelphia 76ers, at 56-26. I think it’s because the Lakers took the regular season series from the Sixers but I’m not so sure about that.

It’s simple and It’s Basic, your number # 1 secret of success will always be knowing your “Niche” and using it to separate yourself form every other Baller out there…
This is the most over-looked art of figuring out what your coach really needs and developing an Identity on the court.
What is a Niche?
I’m Glad you asked!
Your niche is how you are different from everyone else. It is the one aspect that you are great at, not good at, but great at.
It is the one thing that will get you on a team, or get you cut off of a team.
This should be common sense for all Ballers, and yet it will be your secret weapon. Because most of your competition will forever ignore the fundamentals of Defining a Niche, or screw it up (since they’ve never bothered to pay attention to the lessons).
It’s relatively easy to perform a play or move that gets a coach to say “Hey, that ballers pretty good”. But that doesn’t mean they will pick you to be on their team or pursue you to play for them.
No. You want your prospect Coach to say — after experiencing watching you play — “Wow! That’s Exactly what I need on my team, How do I get them to consider playing for me?”
But getting a coach to be Jaw Dropped and begging you to play for them is a much more complex process. You don’t have to understand the biology or chemistry that goes on… but you DO have to realize that dominating the hardwood requires a lot of knowledge and a little skill.
It’s not difficult. But it’s not something most people naturally learn to do.
There are a few key secrets to Identifying A Niche that — once you master them — will guarantee that EVERY Time you step on the court every coach and player will be astonished and you will start leaving your dominating trail of legacy along the way.
That’s how the greats are formed. First by identifying their niche and then by working to master their niche. Most Ballers Play From their Heels… meaning they blow it when it comes to Discovering what aspect of the game they are dominate at. They stumble along the way guessing how to develop their game and normally find them selves in a dark hole with no way to get out.
The Baller Graveyard is crammed with great talented ballers that failed to identify and work on their niche.
However, when you master the basics of Developing a Niche and continually working to master your niche, you will start to see and feel the benefits that come with being a “unique” Hot-Ticket ball player.
Whatever results you’re getting will instantly be multiplied many times, as soon as you apply the secrets of Niche Discovering
If you look at any of the Dominating Forces in the pros you will find that it is easy to identify their niche:
Reggie Miller- Shooting
Bruce Bowen- Defense
Steven Nash- passing and play making
Tracy Mcgrady- Scoring
Shaq- Post Dominating
Ben Wallace- Rebounding
And the list goes on and on…
They discovered their Niche and developed a plan to master it, not just to be good at it but to be great at it.
So how do you figure out what’s your Gold key Niche?
Easy, ask yourself what do you think you are the best at, what important aspect of basketball do you always do well, or tend to be better then others at.
It would also be a great idea if you asked your coach, parents, teammates and other players that do not personally know you but have seen you play before.
It is also very important to receive honest opinions, and you should not ask someone you believe who falsely tell you something just to, please you, get the truth.
If you have a identified niche you will be that much more dominate and coaches would much rather recruit a player that performs a certain task very well likr passing then trying to recruit a player that they will have to develop those certain skill they are looking for.
Now once you have identified your niche, you have found a pot of gold, an you will be 100 steps ahead of your competition.
You see, if you do not have a niche, and really do not understand what kind of a player you are or what you do very well, you will just confuse all the coaches and recruits that are interested in you.
The most common mistake that I have seen with lack of niche identification normally happens with guards…
You know what I am talking about, that guard that you see but you really do not know if he is a point guard or a shooting guard, it’s like he is stuck in the middle.
And if you are stuck in the middle, you are not going any where.
Allen Iverson is a perfect example, he was having problems figuring out what kind of player he was, and his game struggled, but once he committed to being a two guard, his game flourished and he become an NBA ALL-STAR.
So determine your niche and commit to mastering it, whatever it is, it might be scoring, shooting, rebounding, defense, passing, play making or even teammate support…
If you do not have a niche, get one or you will never get to the next level.
Find out for yourself why so many top Pro ballers give me Credit and hide me away as their secret weapon for their wealth and fame.

Every basketball team’s goal is to improve their skills or their game and play well. It is important that the team has confidence before they set foot on the floor or court. But how can the team acheive confidence? The answer is preparation. Through preparation, the team gains confidence. The team can prepare through practice. Practicing skills and team plays can make the team confident to face any situation that they should encounter in an actual game.
In making a basketball team play you need a diagram to represent the court or floor, some chips or a marker to place the positions of the players, who are given a specific number or color of chips. This is used to explain the flow of the play so the team players know how to act or where to go during specific team plays. Extensive knowledge of the game itself, tactics and rules is also essential. In order to facilitate the discussion, everyone concerned should bear in mind that the strong side means that it is the side of the court where the basketball is and the weaker side is the one without the basketball.
This is where names such as John Stockton, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash come into play. These are some of the most skilled basketball players in terms of playmaking. While the coach is in charge of teaching how plays should be made, the point guard has the primary task to make sure that these are properly executed during the game.
Offensive Plays are used when the team has the possession of the ball. The focus of this play is to score. Plays of this kind increase the chances of the players, such as the point guard, to make the basket and score. Examples of this play are 1-3-1 offensive plays, 1-4 formation offensive plays, zone formation offensive plays, triangle offense formation and man to man offense.
The offensive team that will do these offensive plays is composed of five players with corresponding titles and numbers: The point guard (1), the shooting guard (2), the forward guard (3), the power guard (4) and the center (5). The point guard directs the offensive play on the court. The shooting guard is the best outside shooter and usually takes the shot that allows the basketball to make the basket, he should know the right timing for scoring. The small forward guard moves quickly and effectively and keeps the ball away from the defensive team. They can also drive to take a shot or do jump shots anywhere. The power forward is the best inside shooter, which shoots well from underneath the basket or on its corners. The center is the tallest member of the team and does the rebounds and plays with his back almost facing the basket all the time.
Defensive plays are used by the team when they prevent the ball from making the basket by guarding the basket themselves and the players as well so that scoring won’t be successful. The focus of this play is to prevent the other team from scoring by trying to steal the ball or disrupting the flow of play of the team that has ball possession.
Plays of this kind puts pressure on the players who have ball possession making them vulnerable. The defending team players use this situation to their advantage and stop the ball from making it to the basket or making it possible to steal the ball from their hands. Examples of this play are the zone defense and the 2-3 zone defense.
Team players should possess characteristics when they are on the defensive play. Quickness is a quality that can be applied to the hands and feet. Swift movements are necessary to help defensive steal the ball from the offensive team. Strong legs can be helpful in doing repetitive quick jumps. Focus on the game is necessary and they should always be aware since they will read and observe the offensive play so they can use it to their advantage.
This will help the defensive team members to react quickly and appropriately. Defensive team members should be flexible and able to do different kinds of defensive plays depending on the situation.
They should be able to apply defensive skills on both weak and strong sides of the court. Understanding of the strategies and concepts of the game helps them make right decisions based on the situation. Good communication is essential for teamwork because if they work together on the floor, the offensive team will have a difficult time scoring.
Practicing the basic basketball skills as well as the offensive and defensive plays helps a team prepare for a game. When you are prepared to face the battle during a basketball game, worries can be set aside and confidence is gained. These are the secrets to playing a good game and playing it right. Winning and being a champion is possible if these things are kept in mind.
