How Do You Get Instant Massive Basketball Exposure Part 2

Saturday 13 September 2008 @ 10:26 pm
basketball

Last week I sent you How to get massive basketball exposure

pt. 1, if you did not get it, it is copied at the end of this

email… we went over some crucial points to discover what teams, and schools

would die to have you playing for them.

This week we are going to go over the Step-by-step process

of getting your named spread like wild fire to 1,000′s of

coaches, teams and great contacts…

Moving on.

One of the deadliest mistakes I see ballers doing, is sitting back

thinking that coaches and teams are going to find them…

Good Luck with that one!

You must, and I mean you must contact and develop relationships with

coaches and teams RIGHT NOW!

Even if that team or school is not one you want to go play for… Just having the contact is worth and could save your career… Here are some easy, effective ways to get in touch with coaches and teams. Simply email them, call them, or send them a letter or footage of your game.

One thing you have to understand is that these teams and coaches need you

as much as you need them, and they would love if they didn’t have to go flying around the country looking for players… so you are saving them allot of headaches, and long flights, that I am sure they would much rather spend coaching basketball or spending time with their family.

And as i showed you in part.1, you will be contacting the teams, and coaches that are looking for you… and what you have to offer.

Now when you contact them, don’t just say,- hello my name is ****

and I want to come play for you. They here this all day…

Instead, be more personal, do some research on the coach, his team, records

stats, and history.

They will just simply melt if you know some things they might not even have known about their team, it also shows that you are a student of the game, and not just another baller that thinks he is the best in the world.

==Pro Secret==

And also tell them, that you were wondering if they might be interested in you, but if they weren’t, could they reefer some other coaches or pass you information along to someone that would be able to help you and might be interested in your game…

Just by saying that, you can get your name out to 1,000′s of coaches literally over night, they will be more then happy sending your name and info to a good friend of there’s or a team they they know you have a shot at, It’s like having your own PRO Recruiter working for you for free..

I know a bunch of ballers that have used this tip to get tot he Division-1 level, Steve Nash as a matter of fact… Remember, there are allot of ballers out there that believe they can get to the next level, just like you, they are hungry, eager and determined.

But you can’t always just play harder, you have to play smarter too! Get out there right now and be pro active and watch all the great things that will happen.

Rock On!

Your Coach,

Rali Todd

Basketball Tickets – the History of Their Popularity

Tuesday 2 September 2008 @ 5:02 am
basketball

Basketball, one of the most popular sports in the world, had very humble beginnings. Dr. James Naismith, a physical education instructor, created the game of basketball. The Canadian born Naismith, while at the YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts, USA, invented basketball in 1891, when looking for an indoor sport during the winter months – specifically to keep his football players in shape during the off season months.

The Invention

Naismith and his wife saw an article in a magazine from South America that featured an Aztec ball game called Ollamalitzli, and the Mayan game called Ulama, where the round bouncy ball had to go through a hole. He also read another article by Tom Ellison, a New Zealander, which described an ancient Maori ball game that involved a lot of handball skills, where the ball was passed aerially with speed and agility.

Taking these games into account, he and his wife devised a new ball game, to be played indoors in a gym. He developed 13 rules for his game, and divided his 18 players into two teams of nine players each. Two peach baskets were tied to the lower railing of the gym’s balcony. The idea was to throw the soccer ball into these peach baskets. As the bottoms of the peach baskets were intact, the game had to be stopped every time the ball entered the basket, for the janitor to get a ladder and retrieve the ball!

Of course, those days the games were very low scoring affairs. The very first basketball game ever played had an amazingly low score of 1-0. The first official game, played on January 20, 1892, was played on a court half the size of the modern National Basketball Association (NBA) court, involving the use of a soccer ball and two peach baskets for goal.

YMCA, which initially spread the game, later started to discourage playing it, as it was quite rowdy and rough, and deviated from its basic mission. The game however caught on, and it was picked up enthusiastically by other sports clubs, professional clubs, and colleges.

Basketball, of course, used soccer balls initially, and the first basketballs made for the game were brown in color. In the late 1950s, the orange color basketballs were introduced by Tony Hinkle, to make the balls easily visible to the players and the spectators.

From such humble beginnings, basketball has grown into a game that is played by more than 300 million people worldwide. The legends of the game, such as:

Michael Jordan

Larry Bird

“Dr. J” Julius Erving

Magic Johnson

Kareem Abdul Jabbar

Wilt Chamberlain

Bill Russell

Oscar Robertson or Robinson

“Pistol Pete” Maravich

have added richness to the game, over the years.

Basketball tickets, whether for the professional games or the collegiate games, are well sought after. You can arrange your basketball tickets for the games of your choice through legitimate ticket brokers.

Womens College Basketball League – History

Monday 1 September 2008 @ 3:12 am
basketball

The history of women’s college basketball started in Smith College for girls in 1893. But the first official basketball match played by women was between Stanford and Berkley in April 1896, which was played behind locked doors, for women eyes’ only.

The first rules for women basketball were drawn up in 1901. These included rules that we would find peculiar today like having the basket sewn, where the umpire had to retrieve the ball after each score, and even playing on grass courts!

In 1975, the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics was formed and the first national basketball tournament for women was held. In the same year, the first All-American women basketball team was selected.

Only recently in 1996, the American Basketball League (ABL) was founded and WNBA a year later.

College basketball is supervised by the NCAAA. According to the NCAAA, there shall be 3 divisions for basketball to filter out the players. Division I is the most prominent and popular league that is participated by colleges that sponsor seven sports for women players. This is followed by Division 2, participated by colleges that hold four sports for women players while Division 3 is played by colleges that organize five sports and have two participating teams.

The winners of 31 matches will qualify for the annual basketball championship. Another 34 teams will be chosen by a selection committee. These teams are categorized into four pools and given seedings. The championship will be played on the 3rd Thursday of March every year between teams and the losers eliminated until a grand champion emerges.

It is without question that the governing body of women’s basketball is important to ensure smooth running of championships and to preserve the standards of this game.
