Increase Your Vertical Fast – Increase Your Vertical 2-3 Inches Today by Improving Your Jumping Form
Did you know that jumping higher is a skill that can be learned? If you learn the proper jumping techniques and practice them, your vertical leap can improve dramatically. I don’t know how many times I have been on the basketball court and I see a guy who is so close to dunking but he just can’t seem to throw it down.
They go up for the dunk never changing their technique, using the same approach and getting the same result……another missed dunk! By making a few simple changes in their jumping technique they could get the extra height they need to finish the dunk right. Just by adjusting your form and practicing the proper jumping techniques you can increase your vertical anywhere from 3-6 inches! Now we come to the question….what is the perfect jumping form? Let’s explore…
Listed below I have the 7 steps to a perfect jump. Remember this is just a brief summary of jumping form but all the steps are there. If you would like more in-depth information on increasing your vertical jump go to the links I have listed at the bottom of the page.
1. Warm Up – Warming up before you prepare to jump will increase the elasticity of you muscles and joints. It will improve blood flow to your muscles as well.
2. Stretch – It’s sounds boring but it is necessary. Stretching will further increase the elasticity of your muscles which is what we want.
3. Remove Any Mental Blocks – You must have the mindset that you are going to gather up all the jumping potential that you have within you. Failure is not an option for you! Imagine yourself successfully jumping to new heights.
4. Exaggerate The Last Step – This will put your body in the perfect position and prepare your muscles for EXPLODING up.
5. Use the Whole Body – Use your arms and lower back to propel yourself in a synchronous upward motion. Point your toes slightly upward toward your knees just before explosion to allow for a full range of motion.
6. Use Your Momemtum – Practice transferring your foward momentum upward without slowing or stopping before you explode up for your jump.
7. Be Quick – In order to allow your momentum to take you upward you must transfer it quickly and fluidly. It may take practice to get this perfect. If you shuffle your feet, go to slow or over-exaggerate the last step you will be thrown off the synchonization of the movement.

Another full-page article on Mike D’Antoni and the Italian he wants and it again mentions the link between the two. Do you think the Knicks will go Italian in this years NBA Draft ? From the small-world department: Vittorio Gallinari, the father (and agent) of the best international player in the draft, 6-9 Italian SF Danilo Gallinari, was teammates with Mike D’Antoni for nine seasons on Olympia Milano. They shared an apartment for one year, won four Italian League championships and claimed Euroleague titles in 1987 and ’88. Some high school basketball teams have Nike footwear for their team. Some high Adidas footwear for their team. Other teams have other brands of footwear like Reebok or And1. Why do different teams have different brands? Is it the coach’s decision? How does a high school basketball coach make a decision about what shoes to get from each brand (for example, if he were to get Nike footwear, how would he go about choosing what specific shoe for their team (i.e. Nike Air Zoom Huarache TB))?

I have seen a few other players wearing them as well. Most notable Kobe Bryant. What the hell are those things and what are they for?
