Another full-page article on Mike D’Antoni and the Italian he wants and it again mentions the link between the two. Do you think the Knicks will go Italian in this years NBA Draft ? I think what they really need is an athletic black man rather than some Sopranos wannabee. What u all think ? Here is the article:

Manu ginobili is often snubbed or debunked anytime someone says he should be in the HOF WHY? Are you so arrgonet you cant accept the fact that a 6 man(plays like a starter) cant be in the HOF! IT called the Basketball HOF not the NBA hall of fame. Now I understand why some people have trouble with this. Not to many sport fan are as smart as they think they are when it comes to foregin players accomplsments and that okay. They do count though a lot more than you may think. There have been awards Manu should of won like the 2005 finals mvp or 2008 all star. I understand he may be overshadowed by Duncan and Parker but here it is plain and simple the sprus wouldnt even be a title contending team without him. Look what happend this year or last year, or baisclly any time he was injured. People outside of the spurs fan base just dont get how much of an amzaning player is. I hope you actully do reserach on him after this post and you will see what I men.I hate Kobe but I still have respect for his game and him as a player. Just cause you hate someone donsnt men they suck.

Can a player who has never played in the NBA join a team via free agency or does he have to enter the draft?

For example:

John has been playing in Europe, and plays for one of the top Euroleague teams (e.g. Barcelona, Olympiakos etc). He is one of the best players in the Euroleague, and has been an MVP there before.

John decides that he wants to play in the NBA, and is projected to be a top pick in the draft. However, he knows that if he enters the draft, he is likely to be picked by a bad team (e.g. Oklahoma City, Memphis) and doesn’t want this. John has never played in the NBA or entered the NBA draft before.

John knows that the Cleveland Cavaliers want him on their team. Can he simply choose not to enter the draft, then sign with Cleveland as a free agent?

I’m a big Hawks fan. I wasn’t happy when he elected to play for Olympiacos Piraeus in their Professional League (Euroleague). I can live with it though. I heard he wanted more money. Who doesn’t.

He averaged 11.8 points and 4.9 rebounds his final season with Atlanta and 11.6 points and 5.6 rebounds as a reserve for the four years he played for Atlanta.

Olympicos paid him more than 20 Million after taxes to play there. They told him he can opt out at anytime. For him that’s good.

For what it’s worth … the Hawks would have been stupid to pay him more money than Olympiacos for 11 plus points and 5 to 6 rebounds coming off the bench. That’s just my opinion.

Did he leave for the money? Was there a better reason?

Last question : Would you have played overseas or stayed for the 5 year contract of $33 mil that Atlanta offered?

i personally think he is, i just dont think he has a chance in the NBA and will probably end up playing in the euroleague, he is getting worse every season instead of better, even his rookie season was better and he is too much of an injury prone

how can someone who is a decent bball player join or at least try out for a euroleague team or something? does anyone have any contact info or something?
