kobe is thinking about being traded to another team if jerry bus doesn’t return, but i don’t know how he’s gonna do that since he signed that 136 million dollar contract, i mean wouldn’t it be hard for him to leave L.A. and go somewhere else and he could lose all that money, but i was told a long time ago that a player cannot leave a team since they signed the contract or even demand a trade, i just don’t know how that works so can anyone explain that to me please?

Why do people try comparing Kobe Bryant to LeBron James?

Thursday 7 October 2010 @ 1:59 pm

Kobe Bryant and LeBron James have two very different styles of play. LeBron is the come to the hoop and pass first type of player while Kobe is a post up, perimeter passer, and shoot first type of player. Why do they try to compare these two considering they’re superior to the other in their OWN type of style and inferior to one another when switching styles?

How much better is Michael Jordan than Kobe Bryant? Can the disparity be expressed by our current languages?

I thought that I’d set the record straight for yet more Kobe loving idiots.

After 11 seasons in the NBA

MICHAEL JORDAN
26920 points
4723 assists
5361 rebounds
2165 steals
783 blocks
50% shooting

4 MVPs
5 Finals MVPs
5 NBA championships (led all)
9 scoring titles
3 steals titles
1 Defensive Player of the Year award
9 All-NBA 1st teams
8 All-Defense 1st teams
69 NBA records held, not including team records

KOBE BRYANT
19296 points
3561 assists
4073 rebounds
1170 steals
467 blocks
45% shooting (league average)

0 MVPs
0 Finals MVPs
3 NBA championships (led none)
2 scoring titles
0 steals titles
0 Defensive Player of the Year awards
5 All-NBA 1st teams
5 All-Defense 1st teams
5 NBA records (all shared), no team records held

Logical conclusion: Michael Jordan destroys Kobe Bryant, and Kobe will never approach Jordan’s greatness.
After 11 seasons, Michael Jordan had more than 7500 more points, 1000 more assists, 1000 more rebounds, 1000 more steals, 300 more blocks, etc. etc. the list is endless. Of course he was a far better shooter as well, far more efficient, and achieved the league’s highest honors whereas Kobe has zeros across the board.
LOL you idiot. What is a more accurate measurement? Measuring based upon time in the league, or upon age? Take a guess you fool. Kobe entered the league at the age of 18. He was 4 years younger than Jordan. Time for bed, kid.
Kobe doesn’t have “potential” any more. He’s already entering the tail end of his prime. He’s already played nearly 30000 minutes. He has shown himself to be a ballhog, and because of that, he loses. He shoots 45%, which is nowhere close to 50% if you understand how stats work. Kobe shoots worse than his own team. Kobe shoots the league average percentage. And yet he doesn’t pass the ball. That’s why we use numbers to back up observation, and not just bullshit speculation. He is not, nor will he ever be close to the greatest players of all time.

And no, Kobe’s skill is not close to Mike’s. He has talent, no doubt, but he can’t do anything like Mike. He also doesn’t have the drive to get better and win that Mike had.
What the hell are you talking about? It is MUCH EASIER to SCORE in the current league. The modern league is designed to promote offense because it returns popularity and profits… popularity and profits that were lost when Jordan retired. The no-hand checking rules, the ridiculous travel violations that are allowed, the offensive charges, the defensive fouls called on every play that stars like Kobe, Wade and LeBron drive to the basket… the toughest defenses were all from the 80s and 90s, and also the slowest paced era was the 90s. There wasn’t even a fucking flagrant foul when Jordan played in the 80s. Jordan posted what he wanted when he wanted and there wasn’t a damn thing anyone could do about it.

Even with these super soft today, Kobe still needs 40 shots to score 50 points. That’s inefficient. That’s called being a ballhog.

Phil Jackson: “If Michael played with today’s rules, he’d average 45.”

Kobe Bryant is 31 years old and is still regarded as the nba’s best player. How many years do you think Kobe has before he stops performing at these amazing levels? What year do you think he will retire? Which jersey will he retire 8 or 24?
